Brevard County fatal crash claims the lives of two drivers, including a Brevard deputy, on I-95

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occured at I-95 south of State Road 46 in Brevard County.According to troopers, a witness reported a 2021 Nissan Sentra was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-95 after performing an illegal U-turn.A Brevard County Sheriff’s Office patrol car was traveling northbound on I-95 near mile marker 221 in the inside lane. The Nissan Sentra was in the direct path of the patrol car and collided head-on with it.Both cars were engulfed in flames, and both drivers were pronounced dead on the scene.The crash remains under investigation.Click here to download our free news, weather and smart TV apps.
