New food pantry opens to support military service members and their families in the South Bay — San Francisco Community news

A Bay Area nonprofit is expanding its efforts to combat food insecurity among military families with the opening of a new food pantry near Mountain View. The Cost of Courage Foundation celebrated the grand opening of its newest pantry Tuesday, providing another resource for active-duty service members, veterans and military families facing financial hardship. The pantry will offer groceries, personal care products and other essential items to help ease the financial burden on families who may be struggling to make ends meet. The all-volunteer nonprofit works to support those who serve and have served our country through food assistance, financial support and other programs. The new location is part of the foundation s broader effort to address food insecurity in the military community. The organization also operates food distribution programs serving veterans and military families throughout the Bay Area and beyond.
