Tigirlily Gold returns home for release of new album, 'Country & Midwestern'

FARGO — Growing up in Hazen, North Dakota, Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh didn t have a neighborhood record store to shop. The closest thing was driving about an hour southeast to the Walmart in Bismarck. We d be begging our parents, Can we get this Shania Twain album? Can we get this Carrie Underwood album? said Kendra. We built up quite a collection thanks to Walmart. Sisters Kendra Olson and Krista Slaubaugh of Tigirlily Gold stop by the Walmart Supercenter in south Fargo on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, to celebrate the release of their new album, "Country Midwestern," which Slaubaugh is holding. The country duo signed CDs and albums and took photos with fans. Chris Flynn / The Forum Things came full circle Friday when the sisters, now better known as the country act Tigirlily Gold, signed copies of their new disc, Country Midwestern, at the Walmart on 55th Avenue South, Fargo. From 5 to 7 p.m. the sisters chatted with fans and posed for pictures. T
